In Search of an Identity
In the primary school, when a teacher asked, “who would you like to be?” I answered “I want to be a clerk”. She laughed at me and tell the whole class that I want to be a clerk. When I’m in the secondary school, while doing my writing task about my ambition, I wrote that I want to be a doctor. When I finished school, some of my friend decided to take an accounting degree, I didn’t have the gut to join them because I heard that is a very tough course. Then I decided to apply for Business degree instead.Being in the business line, I always want to be a businessman. However, trapped in the ‘rat race’ as term by Robert Kiyosaki where I have to work Monday to Friday, earning the paychecks every month just to settle the never ending bills, I’ve stuck. And having a lot of loans to payback, I’m just few months away from bankrupt. And I’ve stopped dreaming about being a businessman.
Having said that, what I want to be now? I think I just want to be a simple guy doing some little thing to make the world a better place. I just want to take care about people around me, try to avoid from having conflict with everybody and love my family and friends as they are. In the mean time, I still continue enrich my knowledge and skills through observations, reading, hand-on experience as well as analyzing things that happen around me and learn from it. Today have to be better than yesterday. We learned new things, even as little as one new word. The key point is it has to be better than yesterday. What I like? I like watching movies, listening to music and surfing the internet. That are among the thing that I will do during my free time. What kind of movie? I like romances. Even though I enjoy actions pack movies, thriller, comedy and some few other types, what I enjoy the most is the movie about loves.
My mind tells me that I need to sleep. Just publish this post anyway… hehehe.
